SOUTH BOSTON HIGH RISE
Located in the LEED-Gold Macallen Building in South Boston, this loft-like condo features some of the best views overlooking South Station. The kitchen, ironically, shared none of these sweeping views. Our mission was to design an elegant and sophisticated kitchen that gave the homeowners a sense of light and airiness, while still maximizing the functionality of the space. By balancing elements of sleekness (Arclinea lacquered cabinetry), whimsy (a custom mosaic backsplash), warmth (walnut floors), and weight (custom stone table), we were able to bring the clouds of Boston into this avant garde home.
SOUTH END FLAT
"Clean" and "Modern" were the buzzwords for this carefully curated flat in Boston's historic South End. With a bit of midcentury inspiration, we were able to bring this little gem up to speed with all modern amenities and details.
Featured on HGTV's House Hunters Renovation, this two-family starter home had no boundaries in design, while still managing to keep to a shoe-string budget. A custom mudbench in the foyer, a few kitchen updates, a new bathroom in the master bedroom, and an overhaul on the color palette, and VOILA! a tired home looks young and fresh again, just like its homeowners.
FORT POINT LOFT
South Boston, MA
Loft living is wide open and often doesn't come with the necessary storage needed for a family of four. Tall ceiling heights helped as we customized storage spaces from ground to the ceiling, accessible by a custom designed ladder. Where once there was none, there is now an entry coat closet, a kitchen island, a media unit, and wardrobes in all four bedrooms. We also added a brand new bathroom for the newly partitioned guest bedroom.
SOUTH BOSTON STUDIO
South Boston, MA
Privacy and storage were at a premium for the homeowners of this one room studio. In addition to adding partitions, these clients wanted a fresh new feel for their industrial space. White-washed clapboard and red oak were the heroes of this project. We designed and built a bedroom wardrobe that doubled as walls and gave them a brand new kitchen, bringing the feel of Cape Cod right into the heart of Boston.
